About & methodology

mywikipaper.org is an open reference to paper and board grades. It describes 158 grades in 10 families: what they are made of, how they are finished, their key properties, typical grammage, printing methods, end uses and suitability for food contact.

How the data is built. The grade data comes from a structured database compiled for Carccu. Containerboard codes follow the Cepi ContainerBoard list of grades; cartonboard codes follow the European cartonboard classification (GC/GD/GT/GZ/UZ). Grammage figures are typical commercial ranges, not standards, and individual mills' products can fall outside them.

Food contact. Food-contact marks are a desk assessment by grade type, not a certificate. Suitability always follows the mill's declaration of compliance (EU 1935/2004, GMP 2023/2006, BfR XXXVI, FDA 21 CFR 176.170) and the finished article.

Updates. The site is regenerated from the database whenever it is updated. Each grade page shows when its content last changed.
